Have you ever run into a YouTube video (or best, movie) that is in foreign language you couldn't understand and hope there was some English subtitle?
Frustrated? No worry. We got good news for you! There is a relative easy solution that you can use in less than 5 minutes to watch your video with subtitle.
1) Open Google Chrome browser on your computer, if you don't have one, download it here.
2) Browse to this Chrome extension called Subtitles For YouTube, and click Add To Chrome to install the Chrome extension.
3) Once the extension is installed and added to your Chrome browser, browse your favorite YouTube video.
4) You will see a new subtitle section right underneath the video for you to search the subtitle. If it find the matching subtitle for the video, it loads the subtitle to the video!
Example for an Indian movie with English subtitle with the extension,
The extension searches OpenSub repository for matching movie subtitles and it loads the subtitle automatically on the video. It also allows you to upload your own subtitle file (eg. srt) if needed. From times to times, the tool does not return any subtitle search results. Just try again a few minutes later. Could get a little annoying, But when it works, it is wonderful. Overall a great tool.
