Gege got some baby board games and he seems to be pretty interested in learning to play. Daddy thought he may be ready for more advanced board games and bought him a wood family 10 classic board game set. The board game set consists of multiple games like..
Checker
Chinese Checker
Tic-Tac-Toe
Chess
Insanity
Pick-up Sticks
Etc..
We started out with the easy tic-tac-toe that he already knew, then checker and other harder games. When it comes to playing chess, he remembers the rules and some techniques. That was pretty impressive.
One of the game called insanity. It is a single player game. The goal of Insanity board game is simple. Move each set of pins across to the other side without going backwards. A pin can move one space at a time or jump one pin at a time forward.
We thought of giving it a try. Look easy but not really. Here it goes after multiple attempts and finally gege solved the insanity game when he was four year old. His face at the end of video when he finally solved it was priceless.
Fast forward, he is now five and replaying the game again. Daddy noticed that kids could learn from their own play. Gege had the Aha moment when reviewing his game. Here is his attempt of solving it. The video also include some behind the scenes hard work at 1:19.. His annoyance at the end of the video is priceless too :p
