Labor Day Weekend: Part III - Dallas, TX

Good one hour from Fort Worth, we arrived at Dallas. Bank of America offers free admission to certain museums on the first weekend of the month so we took advantage of it. Perot Museum of Nature & Science will be it! Otherwise, it would have been $19 per adult and children $12.  Children 2 and under is free.

This museum is huge and can easily be a full day thing.  We got there at 3:00 P.M. and stayed til closing at 6:00 P.M. There are several floors filled with hands-on activities for kids & adults.


We ate at Wabi Ramen for dinner. We've tasted many ramen restaurants and this one is pretty good. The broth and meat are both delicious. Worth a visit if you ever stop by Dallas, TX.



After dinner, we drove to Klyde Warren Park.  It's a pretty decent park, but we didn't spend too much time there because it was super crowded.

Our hotel for the night was at Hyatt Place Dallas Park Central.

Last day of our trip was at the Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden. Mommy has wanted to visit this garden for quite some time, but due to the high admission cost, we did not plan a trip specifically for it. Because of Labor Day Weekend, it works in our favor, the Arboretum has discounted their admission cost to $5 a person. $2 hot dog and root beer float. Daddy and gege loved it! Two floats (one in Waco) in a row, could this trip be any more awesome!?

The parking is $15 at the site and the only way to cut that cost is to purchase a prepaid parking ticket on their website for $8.

We spent nearly 6 hours at this Garden! (Even longer than the Legoland trip back in May). We walked mostly and enjoyed different parts of the garden. But this place is huge and we took advantage of their go-cart shuttle from the main entrance to the Children's Garden couple times.

Gege was offered to be the co-pilot.



Gege took a shot. Not bad... not bad.



The boys had a great time at the Children's Garden, specifically the maze. Daddy knew gege would like it, but he loves it! The maze is a right size for his age.



That concluded our short labor day weekend trip.
