Splashway Waterpark, Texas

It's August, it's Texas HOT, got two free passes to waterpark, what're we waiting for? Let's get into water!

The kids completed some school assignments and were awarded free day ticket to Splashway waterpark located at Sheridan, Texas which is about 1.5 hours west of Houston. We were planning to go to Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, so might as well let the kids have some fun there.

The parking is free and the environment was pretty lay back. The school was about to start and we weren't sure it would be crowded. Fortunately it wasn't since it was on a week day.

Till now, the kids only have played on community park swimming pools and slides, so they weren't crazy about those big 'amazing' slides. We just took it slow and hung out at the kiddie coves for a while.

Next we went to the lazy river. Kids have grown up so much that they could have their own tube. They could handle it all by now except needing dad to push them faster, or dad just returned the favor by flipping the tube over :)

Then we moved on to the wave pool. It is claimed as the largest wave pool in the state! Everything is bigger in Texas. Yeah, it was ton of fun!

It was about time to hit some slides. The kids kept searching for the perfect slide for them (not too crazy but still fun lol). With some persuasion, we ended on the Slippery Twister (green slide) and Midnight Storm slides (black). And we rode it a lot of times.

We played until it was about to close. We didn't get the chance to do other slides. But we believe with this thrill and fun experience, the kids are ready for the more exciting slides next time :)
