Weekend Fun at Crocodile Encounter

Gege has been keeping the expired breads for the weekend. He kept reminding us he needs to feed the pigeons and ducks. That usually mean the McGovern lake at Hermann park next to the zoo.

Hermann park itself has many point of attractions. There are lake, trail, train ride, zoo, gardens, petal boats and many more. It is a beautiful, relaxing and wonderful place. It is by far one of our top favorite family visit and we spend quite many weekends here.

Daddy love this weekend activities so much and made a video of it. Check out the video at the end of the post.

Here at the Hermann park. Beautiful scenery and ton of fun. Rainbow, water fountain and pigeons! Can't top that!

Mommy found a new place called crocodile encounter. It claims that it is the crocodile capital of Texas! The plan is to get our lunch around downtown, let the kids sleep while we head south to the destination. It is about 30-40 minutes from downtown.

Kangaroo! I never thought I would see one, let alone up close in Texas! The guide and the kangaroo had some funny moment. Too bad the phone memory was full. Argh.

Gege and didi took turn feeding lemurs. Both of them refrained the first time but brave enough on the second attempt. Daddy cheered with his camera like a monkey when they fed the lemurs and daddy gave them high five after.

Out of daddy surprise, never thought a million year, that mommy swiftly picked up a snake from the guide without any hesitation.

We ended the visit with feeding the gigantic tortoises. Yes, feeding animals are almost a must activity for the little ones..

Here is the video of our weekend fun.

This crocodile place was great and better than our expectation. The ticket price was reasonable and our tour guide was pleasant and funny. There were quite a few of animals here like crocodiles, kangaroo, wild pigs, eland, turtles and etc. A lot of them could be seen up close and some available for feeding and petting. Daddy was particularly impressed with the alligator snapping turtle. We recommend this place.
