Bought Lake Louise Summer Gondola from Groupon, which was well worth it. (About $30 for two). There are multiple Gondola; one in Jasper, one in Banff and this one at Lake Louise. Lake Louise Summer Gondola is probably the best in our opinion as it is longer (~13 minutes each way) and it has open Gondola option (it also has enclosed Gondola for those who preferred that) for better experience. We rode the open Gondola and it was a great first time experience in one that is not enclosed. We planned it out on how to ride it safely with two young kids and without our phone dropping..
We could see the beautiful view of Lake Louise from the mountain.
Shhh.. this was actually a trip to meet a kung fu master residing on the mountain. Guess who that was?
The road to Lake Louise was closed due to the excess number of vehicles so we had lunch and drove to Peyto Lake. On the way to Peyto, there is a 'toll' booth where visitor pay for the national park fees. Just like the one when we entered Jasper. With mommy eagle eye, the ticket we bought the day before was valid till the next day 4pm. Nice. Save us $20! The moment we stepped out our car at Peyto lake, the rain starts pouring. By this time, daddy has learned that the rain come and go relatively quickly. We drove around and idle in the car for probably 5-10 minutes and the rains stopped. We hike a little to reach the top for the best view of the lake.

We strategically (it has became my favorite word lately) planned our next destination Lake Moraine which is about 1 hour drive from Peyto Lake so the kids could take their afternoon nap in the car.
One of the most beautiful lake in this area in our opinion is the Moraine Lake.
One public announcement. There are at least two ways to get to the top of that rock stash for best view. The hard way. First, you need to get to the rock by navigating carefully through the moving wood logs on the shallow water. Then climb to the top of the rocks. Some visitors only know this path since it is right by the entrance.
Challenge accepted!!
Or the much easier way. At the side of the parking lot right before the lake, there is a nicely paved path with steps to the top of the rocks hill. Duh!
We went back to Lake Louise. This is a very popular tourist place, as the road was closed earlier due to high excessive traffic. At this time when we reached the lake, weather was not cooperative. It was very foggy and the view was not as stunning as other has claimed; for that, Mommy likes the view of Moraine the best.
This concluded our Lake Louise. Wait.. we haven't even reached Banff yet!
