Wild flowers across Texas are blooming earlier this year. You can pretty much grasp a glimpse of flowers the moment you step out the door.

Few weeks ago, we took a day trip to Chappel Hill, Texas for the annual Texas Bluebonnet Festival. The event filled with vendor booths and activities along the historic community of Chappel Hill. The festival is free of charge, but parking is $5. If you are not there in early morning, you may be stuck in traffic jam waiting in line for the parking. If you don't mind walking a bit (and free parking), a better option is to take the Routt road on I-10 right before the main street. It is a less known route and much less traffic. We parked towards the back of the festival along the street so that we could have the extra cash for a lemonade drink.
Right before you reach the destination, there's a field of bluebonnets along the highway. We got out to snap few pictures.
That is good they enjoy it.. it is impossible to ask my boys to go watch wildflowers with us now. LOL
