Aside from the Walt Disney World's theme parks, we managed to fit in Disney Springs (used to be Disney Downtown) to complete our Disney trip. We left Disney's Hollywood Studios and took Disney's free shuttle to the Disney Springs. From there, we called a taxi to take us back to the hotel. Good thing was that our hotel is very near to Disney Springs so our cab fare was slightly less than $10.
This place has undergone major redevelopment as more retail stores can been found compared to almost a decade ago. Most of the Disney themed events and stores are located at the east side of the park.
Aerophile - Characters in Flight is a tethered balloon ride located at Disney Springs. We always wanted to try hot air balloon of any sort and when Mommy came across Aerophile on Groupon, we definitely want to check it out with the kids. The kids were thrilled when they saw a giant balloon upfront in person. It was an exciting experience for us all.
T-REX, one of Landry's chains restaurant was definitely quite unique for us as we don't see it elsewhere. After so many fast meals at the Disney parks, we got to treat ourselves with some good quality food. At the same time, let the little minds wonder while they eat.

The wait time for our table wasn't too bad at about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, across from the restaurant, there is the Lego store and kids got to play with Legos while we wait for our table.
Does it look familiar? Yes, you will see an exact Lego bench at the Legoland, California.
Overall, Disney Springs is designed for shopping, restaurants and some entertainments. We chose not to purchase any item here as we all know any merchandise being sold here is with highly marked up price. You can get similar items much cheaper online or sometimes at local store. But nonetheless, it is a nice and relaxing walk in the evening especially on a not crowded week day.
