Stockyards at Forth Worth, TX
Stockyards got us surprised as we did not know that there were Easter activities throughout the day. To make things even more fun, they have organized Easter Eggs Hunt for all ages group with patches of lawn filled with big eggs - all free. Kids had an amazing time at Stockyards with the maze, egg hunting and gun fight shows.
This guy is awesome. He made double (not one) sword balloons for each kid!
This is by far the most exciting gun fight show, at least for daddy. It was loud when they shoot (without bullet) during the show and it was funny at times. Make sure your kids cover their ears.
Giant giant Easter eggs. There were so many and all kids were so happy. Just make sure they don't get run over. It happens (right in front of mommy's eyes)..
This maze is amazingly fun. The players have to find 6 stamps in this quite-a-good-sized maze. Kids had a lot of fun. They got a little price once they found all.

Not to mention, the twice a day cattle walk along the main street. We were smart this time. We checked in at a Ricky’s BBQ restaurant next to the main road around 11 a.m. with minimal crowd inside. When the lunch was served, we got a glimpse of it as it was right about the time the cattle drive (cow parade?). Once we finished our meal, there was a long line queuing at the restaurant. Lesson of the story, don't go with the crowd whenever possible.

Water Garden, Forth Worth
Sweet memory after two years of visit. It is a nice little water garden to spend time after dinner.
We like to come here around evening time, probably 30 mins before sunset. So we could enjoy both the day time and the night lights.
So, what brought us to the Grand Prairie? It has to be something extraordinary or new to our family. That would be the Epic Indoor Waterpark. Given that we are not willing to spend on the outrageous cost of the most famous indoor waterpark, Great Wolf Lodge, we go for an alternative. Both places offer indoor water activities with an exception of lodging. Great Wolf Lodge does offer the convenience with hotel-like lodging while Epic Water Park does not.
Grapevine, TX
With two boys in the house, a stop to the mini Legoland will sure to brightens up their trip. In Texas, we only have the Legoland Discovery Center, that's as good as it gets in term of theme park. This time around the visit was more pleasant than the last. The crowd was unexpectedly small. We thought it would be crowded, but believe it or not, we were first in line from ticketing to our favorite Kingdom Quest attraction. That said, a good two hours is probably all you need at the Legoland Discovery Center when the crowd is at its minimal. We went to all 4 attractions many times and ended our trip with the playground and Lego building.
This is like the 6th time we went shooting for the bad guys..
The only reason you will see this kind of picture in Legoland is because mommy wants one.
Because kids just want to do stuff instead, like this.
Forget about the cowboys, we are more into toddler space mission.
Dove Park
Not too far from the Great Wolf Lodge, there’s a community recreation playground, which we recommend. It is located at: 1509 Hood Ln, Grapevine, TX 76051. Great place to spend some time while you’re waiting for Legoland to open.
It is actually quite impressive for a community park. There are a lot of stuff to play here, including family friendly zipline.
Ended our trip with lunch at Yoshi Shabu Shabu. Drove a good half an hour from Grapevine to Richardson for the Shabu. It wasn't a favorite, but mommy had her "hot pot" craving.
