Monahans Sandhills State Park, Texas

We stayed two nights at Terlingua during our visit to Big Bend National Park and on our last day, we got dressed and ate breakfast with hot chocalate. We watched the sunrise and the colors were red, orange, yellow and blue. Then we continued our drive.
It was about 3 hours until we reached Monahans Sand hills. We have heard from our friends that this is a nice sandhills similar to White Sands National Monunent. We had tons of fun back then, so we want to check this out since we are already in the area.
We ate lunch first then we played in the sand. We got a couple of discs and went playing for 2 hours. Then we built a sand castle that took 30 minutes. So we were so hot we went to a shade. It still had a slide. We stayed there for about another hour!
Is daddy praying to sand god?
Doesn't matter. kids joined. Playing with sands with winds blowing. The sand isn't white like the one in White Sands National Monument, but it is very soft.
Mommy just enjoyed the view.
It was really fun for everyone. The weather plays a big part in this. Although it was slightly chilly with wind blowing from time to time, overall it was very nice weather during this time around in November. The visitor center was closed on Thanksgiving day so we couldn't get any wax for the disc, if not it would have made it slides even faster. That's the only downside :) Kids love sands and could easily spend hours here.
Then when we were heading back but some people invite us to their slide! It was super fast because they put water on the sand! So now we went back to the car and went to the restroom and returned the discs. Then we went to our hotel which was the Holiday Inn. We found dinner and the food truck name was Little Tokkyo. We ate our food and it was better than expected. Then we brushed our teeth and showered. Then I played a little and went to sleep. We had one more park to visit the next day.
