While he had been playing with the scooter grandma gave him as 2014 Christmas gift, daddy has been testing water with him on bike at Walmart. After we knew he is interested and potentially ride one, daddy bought him a bike last summer. He started riding the bike with training wheel and already rode for quite a distance in first few attempts.
Just few months ago (after the cold winter weather), we encouraged him to take the balance bike instead of the 2 wheels bike with training wheels on. Little do we know, he took off with the balance bike in no time and was running up and down with it. After he built confidence in balancing, mommy wanted him to try the regular 2 wheels bike without the training wheels. He was hesitant at first and finally agreed to take the challenge. We had no idea how quickly he could grasp and off he goes with a real bike in less than an hour! Of course, everything takes practice. I'm one proud mommy!
