One of the top park is the Franconia Notch State Park, located in the White Mountains in northern New Hampshire. It is a spectacular place with ton of outdoor activities, as well as camping for families. Few highlights are the Flume Gorge, Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway, Echo lake and Artist Bluff trail.
Flume Gorge is one of the top attractions with multiple trail options. Visitor can choose to walk the Gorge, do a 2 mile loop or half with the shuttle. Given that we got small young kids and it was drizzling, we chose the short Gorge trail with the shuttle.
The admission ticket cost $16 per adult, age 6-12 for $14 per child, age 5 and under free. Not including the beautiful rainbow rain coats :)
On the north side of the park, there is the scenic 8 minutes enclosed cable car, which is the North America first passenger Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway. Visitor could enjoy the great mountain view. The ticket cost $18 per adult, age 6-12 for $16 per kid, and age 5 and under is free.
If you are planning to go on both the Flume Gorge and Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway, you could buy the discovery pass (cheaper), which include both admission for $30 per adult, age 6-12 is $24.
Next to the tramway is the beautiful Echo Lake. You could have a fantastic time swimming, fishing or boating (kayak, canoe and paddle boat!). Boat rentals are available. The rental is $20 (kayak/paddle boats) per hour. Checkout their website for more options.

Take the easy hike on the Artist Bluff trail that is well suited for all ages and enjoy the mountains and echo lake combined for a spectacular view, especially during Fall!
Strawberry Banke Museum is an outdoor history museum located in the historic district of Portsmouth. It preserves many old historic houses with beautiful gardens.
Across from the Strawberry Banke Museum is the Prescott Park. It is a popular waterfront flower garden, and where the popular Prescott Park Arts Festival is being held during summer with music and performance.
